I tend to think so. On their own little pink couch in front of the television set – while he was outside nearby barbecuing. Where was Dieter? I don’t think he was put in the basement until just before Shan’ann came home. And I haven’t ruled out smothering on top of sedatives. But sedating them would have been simplest. He had hours and hours to make things look like something other than what they were – like leaving their beds unmade.
